Thank you to everyone who stopped out during the Garrett County Arts Council Artist Studio Tour! It was great to open the studio up again to the public. Whether you came to browse or purchase art, it was great to see you all. We sold work that hadn’t even made it to the website yet, which is always a good thing. Below is By the Mark, which found its way to a new home.
Hilton Head Island has been a gathering spot for our family for years. A wide variety of inspiration exists on this barrier island, from the beaches to grassy dunes, maritime forests, and wetlands. I posted some art from a vacation back in this post in 2020.
One spot I like to paint is around the pond near Lawton Stables in Sea Pines Resort. Below are two pieces that developed after an afternoon of sketching around the pond.
