Custom Greeting Cards for Every Occasion

Today is “Send a Card to a Friend Day”

I’m unsure who started this day, but I thought I’d take the time to share how you can get my work in greeting cards.

Here are some options:

Fine Art America

Browse my collection of artwork on Fine Art America. Here, you can choose your favorite image and have it professionally printed as a high-quality greeting card. It’s a simple and convenient way to find a scene your recipient would like. As a bonus, you can add a printed message inside these cards, making them work for any occasion. Visit the gallery here. Select the images you like and you will see a choice to order greeting cards. You can order one or more at a time in any image.

Discover Hand-Signed Cards:

Visit the Gallery Shop at the Garrett County Arts Council or Penn Alps in Garrett County, Maryland. These locations offer my hand-signed art print cards. Many customers have told me they buy these cards to frame as small art pieces.

Custom Creations for Every Occasion:

Do you need a larger quantity of cards? I also offer bulk orders for both the printed cards and the hand-signed art print cards. This option works for businesses, organizations, or anyone looking to send personalized greetings on a larger scale. Contact me directly to discuss your custom card needs.

Support Independent Artists

When you choose to buy from an independent artist, you’re directly supporting creativity and the local arts community. Your purchase makes a real difference, allowing artists to continue creating and sharing their work. It’s a more meaningful way to connect with others than buying mass-produced cards from big box stores.

Back on the River

Back on the River: A New Working Boat Commission

One of my favorite subjects for painting is working boats and waterways, such as tugboats, barges, and industrial river scenes.  I’ve recently started on a new commission project that brings me back to this subject matter.

The work is for a marine contractor operating on the Ohio River. Oftentimes, I’ll create more than one piece when working on a commission. This the first one I’ve started for the client’s consideration.

These is just the beginning stage, and I look forward to sharing the finished artwork when it’s complete.

In the meantime, if you’re interested in seeing more of my working boat-themed art, please visit my gallery here.

Interested in a working boat commission? I’d love to talk. Please get in touch here.

WGW Community Youth Cup Art

The Annual WGW Community Youth Cup Golf Outing is an excellent opportunity to support local youth causes in Garrett County, Maryland. For the past few years, I’ve been happy to donate art for this event, shown on the program images below.

2024 Art

This year’s event was held at Thousand Acres Golf Club. Up and Down was featured on this year’s cover and in the silent auction.
To learn more about the WGW Community Youth Cup or support their mission, please visit their website at www.wgwgolf.org.

Thank You!

Thank you to everyone who visited during the Garrett County Artist Studio Tour last week. It’s always a pleasure to share my work with you and talk with you.

If you couldn’t visit, I’ve created an online viewing gallery where you can explore my current collection.

If you prefer to see work in person, I’m happy to schedule an appointment for you to visit the studio. Please get in touch with me directly to arrange a time that works best for you.

Thank you again for your continued support.

The Sandy Douglass Regatta

“Cutting Edge” and the Sandy Douglass Regatta

This weekend is the annual Sandy Douglass Regatta on Deep Creek Lake.

Sandy Douglass, best known for his remarkable sailboat designs, including the iconic Flying Scot, manufactured near Deep Creek Lake and the sailboat of choice on the lake. His career, which began in the 1930s, left an indelible mark on sailing, making it more accessible to a broader audience. The Flying Scot, introduced in 1957, remains a widely raced one-design class and a testament to Douglass’s enduring influence.

Cutting Edge, an original watercolor and mixed media on canvas, features a flying scot in action and has been used as promotional artwork for the Sandy Douglass Regatta for a few years.

If you visit my studio this weekend, on the lake’s southern end, you might catch the regatta in action.
