I’m pleased to announce that I’ve been accepted into SEYMOUR, a program of the Garrett County Arts Council in cooperation with Simon Pearce.
SEYMOUR is a virtual marketplace held in conjunction with Garrett County and Deep Creek Lake’s annual Autumn Glory Festival. The marketplace goes live on October 7th through October 21st.

I’m adding two sailing-themed pieces to my Featured Art gallery with Hiking Out and Heading Up. The gallery is a part of my 2020 Virtual Studio Tour. If you haven’t had a chance to check it out, you can view it here.
Blackwater River sized at 16″x40″, is the first piece completed in a series of larger pieces that I’ve been working on over the summer.

Depending on which part of the lake you’re familiar with, you might recognize Corner Store. A family store and gas station, known as Schmidt’s Service Station, used to sit at the corner of Turkey Neck Road and 135 near the southern end of Deep Creek Lake. At one time, we could stop in for a loaf of bread, eggs or other items when passing by. Corner Store is included in the Deep Creek Lake and Garrett County Gallery.
