My First Art Festival 

We were going through some old photos this week and found these from I think what was my first art festival, 1982 in Ocean City, New Jersey.  I must not have been getting advice yet from the boss.

Friday Drop In Studio Sessions Start May 19th

Are you looking to work on your watercolor technique this summer? I'm offering weekly drop-in classes again this year in my Turkey Neck Studio at Deep Creek Lake.  Sessions are on Friday mornings from 10 am til noon starting May 19th.  

These are working sessions with an opportunity for us to paint alongside each other while we discuss various topics and try new techniques. Artists of all levels are invited to attend. Participants are free to drop in for any or all classes. Space is limited, so please call or email at least 24 hours in advance to reserve a spot.

Celebrate 40 for 40 at the Garrett County Arts Council 

The Garrett County Arts Council is currently celebrating 40 years by entering every customers that spends $40 or more in one of their two gallery locations will be entered into a drawing to win a gift basket of art.  The promotion runs forty days, from November 15th through December 24th.  Customers can also purchase a chance to win the basket without a sale.  In case you missed it, here is an article in Mountain Discoveries Magazine about the Arts Council.  

 My original watercolor "Thirty Two Acres", picture below, is one of the pieces included in the basket.
